Snapdragons 'Prairie Sunrise Mix'
I named this snapdragon mix ‘Prairie Sunrise’, since they were harvested from our Potomac varieties in bronze, peach, tangerine, rosy, and cherry tones. The blooms would glow in our flower patch much like the stunning skies of southern Alberta at dawn. Because these plants grew close together and likely cross-pollinated, you may discover some intriguing hybrids among them! These snapdragons are perfect for cutting and can give you a second, or even third, round of blooms depending on your growing season.
GROWING INFORMATION
Start seeds indoors about 8 to 10 weeks before transplanting them outside, making sure to wait until after the last hard frost. Seeds need light to germinate, but adding a thin layer of vermiculite helps keep moisture in and prevents algae from forming. Water from the bottom or mist gently to prevent displacement of seeds. If you want the plant to branch out, pinch it back by an inch or two once plants have grown 4 inches tall. Planting seeds directly outdoors is not recommended.
Germination: 7 to 14 days.
Plant Spacing: 6” to 8” apart.
Plant Height: 36”.
Days to maturity: 110 days.
Plant Type: Annual.
Seeds per packet: 100 seeds minimum.
Kindly be advised that, due to stringent export regulations, we are unable to ship seeds outside of Canada.
