HOME GOODS & SEEDS

Can I change my order after it has been place?

As soon as you place an order we start working on it right away. However, if modifications need to be made, please contact us immediately by email at hello@sheepriverhomegoods.ca and we will do our best to accommodate you if the order has not already been shipped.

Do you ship outside of Canada?

Due to stringent export regulations, we are unable to ship seeds outside of Canada at this time.


TICKETED HANDS-ON FLORAL EVENTS

Are flower u-pick tickets refundable?

Due to prebooking and preparation for events, tickets are transferable to someone else but not refundable. If tickets are a gift or transferred to someone else, please let us know so we can update our guest list.

Are flower u-pick tickets transferable?

Tickets are not transferable to another scheduled u-pick date; however, they are transferable to someone else if you cannot make it to an event. If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible so we can update our guest list.

What happens if it rains?

Events are held rain or shine, as flower arranging is done in a covered area. If severe weather is expected, we will email you with options for an alternate date or a refund. If an event must be cancelled and no alternate date is possible, tickets will be refunded. Tickets remain non-refundable if the event proceeds as scheduled.

Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance?

Yes, availabilities are limited to small groups at a time and tickets must be purchased online, in advance.

Are children allowed during hands-on floral experiences?

We love welcoming children, but our hands-on, cut-flower experiences are designed for adults only since sharp tools are used. Children,12 years or older, may be allowed, please email us if this applies to you.

Can I take photos and share them on social media?

Absolutely! We want you to fully enjoy your experience in the flower patch, and we’d love to see your photos. Tag us on Instagram @sheepriverfarm or use #sheepriverfarm

Can I bring my pet?

We love pets; however, for everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask that they stay home.

A few recommendations before heading out to the farm:

  • Please bring bug spray in case mosquitoes are out.

  • Evenings can get chilly, so we also recommend bringing an extra layer!


FLOWER ORDERS & CARE

When are cut flowers available to order?

Our cut flower season typically begins in late July and continues until the first frost in early October. Presales begin in June, and we recommend ordering as early as possible to ensure availability.

What is the vase life of field-grown, chemical-free cut-flowers?

Not all flowers have an identical vase life, however most will last about 1 week. To extend vase life, keep flowers out of direct sun, change water daily and snip the end of stems every few days.

WHERE IS THE FARM LOCATED?

The farm is located 5 km southwest of Okotoks, our address is:

48198 402 Ave W, Foothills, AB.

Please use 64 Street West off Highway 7 to access 402 Ave W.

IS THE FARM OPEN YEAR ROUND?

No, this is a seasonal operation from July to October. Purchase of flowers and tickets for events must be ordered online, in advance.

CAN I STOP BY AND VISIT ANYTIME?

As this is a working farm, visits to the property are available through ticketed events only. Schedules for pickup of flower orders and hands-on floral experiences are provided on the ordering page.

We use industry standards to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information and do not sell or share your information to any third parties. Your information is used for orders that you have placed and our newsletter.
