Cheers to a New Year Filled with Many Blessings!
What do you wish to accomplish this year? I’ve never been comfortable with drastic change; I think it’s the little steps we take that have the greatest impact in life. The small changes are the ones that are realistic and the ones that stick!
I would imagine that most of us are seeking good health, and lasting happiness. Some of our goals might be to eat healthier, or do something we’ve always wanted to do, but never had the courage to try. It could have to do with better self-care or giving back to our community… no matter our desires in 2023, I hope we give ourselves permission to move forward.
This new year, I’ve set a few, easy goals. First on my list: taking better care of myself. That translates as getting good exercise every day and adding more fruit and vegetables to my diet. I also plan on trying new, healthy foods. There are so many different types of fruit and vegetables out there, but we’re limited to the things we find in our markets and grocery stores. Therefore, this spring, I’ll be planting something new in my gardens.
Over the past days, I’ve been searching for seeds and have discovered great, new varieties that I hope to grow this year. It’s all very exciting! However, as always, it can be a challenge trying to grow new plants in our zone (3b) – but I’m willing to try. I like to keep an open mind when it comes to what we can and cannot do… most of the time, it comes down to figuring out ways to make it work.
If you’re looking for new plants to try in your garden or wondering where to find a nice selection of seeds; I promise to keep you posted in the days ahead!
